Proclamation

WHEREAS, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners have resolved to create and establish the Broward County Diversity Advisory Council; and

WHEREAS, the Broward County Diversity Advisory Council has committed its resources to reduce and eliminate barriers to cross-ethno-cultural communications through its numerous public and private diversity organizations in a community partnership; and

WHEREAS, those agencies work together to improve inter-ethnic relations and multi-ethnic dialogue; and

WHEREAS, Broward County’s Diversity Advisory Council is expected to continue and expand far into the future through county-wide cooperation and it’s “One Broward Initiative”; and

WHEREAS, the City of North Lauderdale is a diverse community, we embrace Broward County’s Diversity Advisory Council and its “One Broward Initiative;

NOW, therefore, I, Jack Brady, Mayor of the City of North Lauderdale, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Charter and Code of Ordinances of the City of North Lauderdale, do hereby proclaim January, 2008, as
