SUBJECT:     Dedication of Granada of North Lauderdale, LLLP Utilities

 

The under construction development, Granada , located at State Road 7 and McNab Road is requesting the dedication of its water and sanitary sewer mains to the City for perpetual maintenance.

 

All of the necessary inspections on the water and sewer system have been completed and approved by the City and all other appropriate agencies.  Please note that these dedications only include the water mains, fire hydrants, valves, sewer mains and man holes.  The dedication “does not” include the water services, water service valves, sanitary sewer laterals, storm drainage, irrigation or roadways.

 

The documents required by the City Administrative Policy to complete the dedication process are included and listed below:

 

  • Letter of Acknowledgement from Owner to City
  • Bill of Sale
  • Cost Estimate
  • 50% Maintenance Bond
  • Easements and Legal Descriptions

 

Recommendation:

 

The City Administration recommends the Commission’s consideration and approval of the attached resolution for the acceptance of the dedication and maintenance of the Granada of North Lauderdale, LLLP water and sewer mains as outlined in the staff memorandum.  This action however is contingent upon the City receiving a true and certified copy of the recorded utility easement.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY AND GRANADA OF NORTH LAUDERDALE, LLLP TO ACCEPT DEDICATION OF THE WATER AND SEWER MAINS ON THE GRANADA PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF NORTH LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA:

 

Section 1:    That the City Commission does hereby accept the water and sewer mains as per the attached site map.

 

Section 2:    That the legal description of the proposed easement dedication is hereby attached to this resolution.

 

Section 3:    That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

 

PASSED and ADOPTED by the CITY Commission of the City of North Lauderdale, Florida, this 9th day of June, 2009.
