SUBJECT: MUNICIPALLY
OWNED PROPERTY-AFFORDABLE HOUSING INVENTORY
Pursuant to Section 166.0451, Florida Statutes, the City has an obligation to prepare an inventory list of all real property within its jurisdiction to which the City holds fee simple title that is appropriate for use as affordable housing. The list must be prepared by July 1, 2007 to be reviewed by the City Commission at a public hearing. Following the public hearing, the City Commission must adopt a resolution that includes the inventory list of the property.
No City owned properties have
been identified that meet the criteria set out by State Statute; therefore, the
attached Resolution has been prepared stating that “No municipally-owned
property is appropriate for use as affordable housing.”
RECOMMENDATION:
Based on the foregoing, the City Administration recommends Commission’s consideration and approval of the attached Resolution that includes the inventory list of municipally-owned property that is appropriate for use as “affordable housing.”
