SUBJECT:     Vending Machine Bid

In 2004, the City Commission authorized an agreement between Krip Vending and the City of North Lauderdale for non-drink vending service at all City facilities.  This vendor was selected after an RFP was solicited and bids were compared.  Under the terms of the agreement, the vendor provides 10% of net profits to the City each month.  As the current agreement expires soon, the staff is prepared to initiate the RFP process. This year staff recommends including Non-Drink Snack Machines, ATM Machines and possibly two video game machines in the Teen Center and Pompano Park (maximum 2 per location).

It is our intention to find a Vending Machine contract similar to the current Drink Vending Machines contract, in which the vendor pays a monthly commission to the City as well as provides some type of sponsorship for City Events.  The agreement would cover all City facilities and be valid for 3 years.
