RE: City
of North Lauderdale (“City”)/City Clerk Items
Pursuant to actions taken by the City Commission at the September 13, 2007 meeting, the following items should be added to the next agenda regarding the City Clerk's Department.
1. Discussion and possible direction to prepare revisions to the City's Comprehensive Pay Plan to adjust or to modify certain positions and/or pay categories;
2. Discussion and legal interpretation/opinion/presentation by the City Attorney re: the City Charter, the City Clerk and Deputy City Clerks positions based on the year 2000 referendum election and following;
3. Discussion and possible direction to prepare a proposed modification, or transition in some fashion, the Public Information Officer ("PIO") position in the current City pay plan; and
4. Discussion regarding the precise civil service status of Pam Donovan as the City's current PIO given any possible Commission discussion on items number 1-3, set forth above.
