Subject: Landscape
Contractor for City Berm
As you will recall, at the March 13, 2007 City Commission meeting, I
advised you that the staff is planning to move forward with the installation of
the planting pods on the western City limit berm. I also informed you that the cost for the
project was on target of our estimate of 6-8 months ago of approximately
$40,000 and we would be proceeding forward to award the contract to South Coast
Growers, Inc. unless there were objections.
The Commission did not object on moving forward with the project.
The project consists of planting pods that will be approximately 50’ in
length and spaced at 500’ intervals. Installation
of this landscaping will start on April 2, 2007 and take approximately 10 days
to complete. The funds for this project
are allocated in the Canal District Fund, #001-3947-543.34-70.
