Special Events
The Special Events Division is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the city's various special events. These events include North Lauderdale Days, Haunted Hamptons, Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting, Eggstravaganza, and Concerts in the Park, just to name a few.
Eggstravaganza

Erik M. Soroka Sports Complex
Kids hunt for over 10,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes at this fun egg hunt. Hunters are separated into four different age groups: 2 and under, 3-5 years old, 6-8 years old, and 9-12 years old. Peter Cottontail and several face painters join the festivities. Admission to this event is free.
Underwater Egg Hunt

Jerry Resnick Aquatic Center
Celebrate the opening of the pool by diving for eggs at this unique egg hunt. Hunters are separated into four age groups from 5 and under through 16 and up, so kids of all ages have a chance to find eggs that can be redeemed for candy or prizes. Admission to this event is free.

North Lauderdale celebrates its anniversary with an annual community festival. The event features music, rides, entertainment, food and much more. A spectacular fireworks display is the events grand finale. A popular part of the festival is the Little Mr. and Miss North Lauderdale pageant, where children compete for the title in two age groups: 2 and under and 3-5 years old. Admission to this event is free

Concerts in the Park
Watch for future dates and times. Enjoy a fun evening of music in a different park each time at this new Concert in the Park series. Admission to this event is free.
Haunted Hamptons - Black Trail

Ghosts, goblins, monsters and other creatures of the dark haunt the woods of Hampton Pines Park. Visitors follow the trail chaperoned by ghost hosts, who make sure no one gets lost. Haunted Hamptons' Black Trail is a frightening experience for all that attend. Admission is three dollars. Advanced tickets, which allow you to skip the line, are available during the month of October at City Hall.
Haunted Hamptons - Orange Trail

North Lauderdale's safe trick or treating alternative.Kids receive candy from their favorite cartoon/storybook characters. Visit the pumpkin patch and go home with your own mini pumpkin. Admission is free for children 12 years old and younger.
Holiday Spirit Parade

Marching Bands, specialty units, floats and special guest Santa Clause parade through town and end up at City Hall where the City Tree is lit in the Tree Lighting Ceremony. To enter the parade and show your holiday spirit, call for a parade entry form at 954- 724-7061. Admission to this event is free.
Tree Lighting Display Ceremony
Wednesday December 12th - 7:00pm City Hall Front Lawn
Join us as we light the City Christmas Tree, as well as our other Holiday Displays in the front lawn of City Hall. Admission to this event is free.
Menorah Lighting
Monday December 3rd - 10:00am - City Hall Commission Chambers
Our annual Menorah Lighting ceremony takes place in our Commission Chambers. Admission to this event is free.
