A Message from Fire Chief Kevin R. Bowman – North Lauderdale Fire Rescue

To the Residents of North Lauderdale, Florida:

North Lauderdale Fire Rescue wants to do whatever it can to see you receive the best medical care possible if you have to dial 911 due to a medical emergency.

Often times, the person who is injured or has a medical emergency is unconscious and cannot communicate to our paramedics. When the patient cannot communicate, we cannot find out about important things such as their: name and age; blood type; current and past medical history; medications they are taking; allergies to medications; doctors’ name and phone number, and other vital information.

North Lauderdale Fire Rescue is offering the Vial of Life^{© program} to all its residents AT NO COST.

The Vial of Life program is a means to provide this essential information to our fire rescue paramedics and ultimately the doctors and nurses at the emergency room.
