Senior
Trip
On Saturday December 9th, our Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled
a senior trip to the World Famous Fort Lauderdale Baptist Church to attend
their 2006 Christmas Pageant. Event is from 2pm to 4:30pm. Cost $37 residents,
$40 non-residents. Space is limited so register early. For more information

Holiday Fantasy Of Lights
Join us on Sunday,
December 10th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm as we tour Tradewinds Park and view their
"Holiday Fantasy of Lights" display. Cost is $3 for residents, $5
for non-residents. Register now space is limited. The bus will depart from
the Teen Center promptly at 6:15pm and Pompano Park at 6:30pm. For more information

Tree
Lighting Ceremony
Get
our your lawn chair and join North Lauderdale Parks and Recreation for the
annual tree lighting ceremony on the front lawn of City Hall on Wednesday,
December 13th at 7 pm. There will be music and even an appearance from Santa
and his friends.
Menorah Lighting Ceremony
Come join the City of North Lauderdale for the annual Menorah Lighting
Ceremony to be held Thursday December 14 at 3:30 pm in the Commission Chambers.

Holiday
Parade
The
City of North Lauderdale's Parks & Recreation Department will be conducting
it's 29th Annual Holiday Spirit Parade on Saturday, December 16th. Parade
starts at 1:00pm and it will travel on the south side of Blvd. of Champions
(past the old Library) then north on the Blvd to Rio Pinar, west to Rock Island
Rd., then north to City Hall. Parade Grand Marshalls are Paul and Ron from
Big 105.9 Radio Morning Show. Parking available and bus shuttles from North
Lauderdale Elementary and Highland Park. For more information call 954-724-7061.

Holiday Parade
Cancelled
It
rained on our Parade. Due to the holiday schedule we could not reschedule
the parade, but are looking forward to a bigger and better one next year.

Holiday Camp
Sign up your children for the North Lauderdale Parks & Recreation Holiday
Camp. Camp runs December 22, 2006 through January 8th, 2007 and it is open
to all children grakes K-8. Fees are $125 for residents, $130 for non-residents.
Register at the Teen Center or at Pompano Park. A $25 non-refundable deposit
is due at time of registration which will go towards the balance. Deadline
for registration is Thursday, December 21, 2006. For more information call

Sundae's
With Santa
North Lauderdale Parks and Recreation have invited Santa to visit the City
gym on Monday December 18th from 7-8 pm to have ice cream sundae's with the
children. Santa will hear last minute gift lists and pose for photographs.

Wiffle Ball Tournament - Our Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Wiffle Ball Tournament on Saturday December 23rd, from 10am to 5pm. Cost is $20 per team of 4 (at least 1 player must be a city employee). Registration ongoing. Trophies will be awarded to the top 2 teams. Hope to see you there. For more information call 954-726-0781.
