The Planning
and Zoning Section is responsible for reviewing proposed development
applications for: rezoning applications, proposed site plans,
platting or subdivision of land, variances, special exceptions,
and sign waivers. This division is also responsible for reviewing
all development or modification proposals for conformance
with the City of North Lauderdale Code of Ordinances. P &
Z interprets the City's Ordinances as it relates to residential
and nonresidential activities and operations, as well as supplemental
regulations.
All plans for single family residences, commerical
structures, accessory buildings, additions, fences, screen
enclosures, pools, and multifamily residences are reviewed
by the Planning and Zoning section for compliance with current
building codes and zoning restrictions.
The Planning and Zoning section also provides
technical assistance and code interpretations to architects,
builders,and home owners.
Located on the 2nd Floor in City Hall. Our
office hours are as follows: Monday through Friday, 8:00am
- 5:00pm. Saturday and Sunday, closed. |
