Born
in Chicago, David spent his first 17 years in Kingston, Jamaica and then moved
to Florida in 1982 to attend college. He received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
and a Masters in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. He
has over 20 years experience in the fields of Accounting and Finance, and currently
is the Accounting Manager in Sunrise. David has been married to his wife Susan
for 14 years and has 2 teenage children, Matthew and Laura. He has been a resident
of North Lauderdale since 1992.
David has also dedicated
himself to numerous youth sports leagues and religious programs in the community.
He is a founding member of the MAC (Men After Christ) at Coral Baptist Church
in Coral Springs. David is part of the Children's Ministry team, Helping Hands
Ministry, and volunteers his time at various Church events. He was also a baseball
and soccer coach, and was a member of the North Lauderdale Soccer Advisory Board.
He was also President of the North Lauderdale Sharks Swim Team Parent Board and
serves as Advisor to the South Florida Recreational Swim League. David
cares a lot about his community and is an honest, dependable person who is ready
to use his experiences and leadership qualities in the area of public service.
He is concerned with improving the safety and quality of life of the people of
his community. |
