Application Process

In order to apply for an open position, with the City of North Lauderdale, please download our Employment Application and email the completed copy to htrevisani@nlauderdale.org or fax applications to 954-724-6975. If an applicant so choses, they can mail or deliver their applications to the following address:

In order for an individual to be considered for an open position, applicants must provide a completed City of North Lauderdale employment application. Resumes will only be accepted in addition to our required application. The HR staff can only process applications for advertised open positions.  

Please Note: Incomplete applications are reason for disqualification from further consideration. 

General Information:
Applications and resumes are stored confidentially with the Human Resources Department. Only authorized employees and hiring authorities have access to the information submitted.

To request disability accommodations or to ask any questions, please call the Human Resources Department at 954-724-7068 no later than one (1) day before the application deadline.

For applicants requesting Veteran's preference, effective July 1, 2007, the following changes are in effect:
-- Preference eligibility no longer expires upon appointment of the eligible person to a position with the state or any political subdivision in the state.
-- Persons who were previously ineligible for preference because they held or are currently holding a job with a public employer are now eligible to use their Veterans' Preference again with all employers covered by law.
-- Persons who were previously ineligible for preference because they did not serve during an eligible wartime period may now be eligible for Veterans' Preference if they served during Operation Enduring Freedom (beginning October 7, 2001 – present) or Operation Iraqi Freedom (beginning March 2003 – present).
-- The receipt of a campaign or expeditionary medal is not required, only service during those wartime periods.
