Housing Authority

Purpose: To address the shortage of safe or sanitary dwelling accommodations in the City available to persons of low income.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and oversee implementation of projects to improve the housing stock in North Lauderdale. Neighborhood Stabilization Program Community Development Block Grant Program.

Membership:

Five-member board. One appointment from each of the Elected Officials. At least one (1)member shall be a North Lauderdale rental tenant, living in a public housing project or a person of low-income who is receiving a rental subsidy through the a program administered by the authority’s public housing agency within North Lauderdale.

Meeting Schedule:

Third (3rd) Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
