Public Records Information
The City of North Lauderdale's City Clerk's Office will make every effort to provide records as promptly as possible and collect the actual cost for making copies and/or reproductions of active, inactive and/or archival public documents consistent with Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. However, where the nature or volume of such records requires more than 15 minutes of information technology resources, clerical or supervisory assistance, or both, a special service charge based upon the labor cost actually incurred in providing such copies shall be assessed in addition to the actual cost of the reproduction of documents.
The City of North Lauderdale has established a schedule of fees for the duplication of public records in conformance with Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes, entitled "PUBLIC RECORDS ACT." Chapter 119 sets forth guidelines and fees relating to the duplication of public records, of which the City of North Lauderdale has adopted and subsequently amended Chapter 2, Article 1, Section 2-3, entitled "Costs of Reproduction, Sale of City Documents," of the Code of Ordinances (07-04-1187) to establish a fee structure for the duplication of public records.
