Broward Sheriff's Office - District 15
The City of North Lauderdale has been in partnership, receiving law enforcement services, with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office since October 2001.
BSO is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), an independent assessor, and the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA). Accreditation is the primary method for an agency to voluntarily demonstrate their commitment to superior service.
CALEA accreditation is an indicator of an agency’s willingness to improve community policing, maintain transparency, promote professional excellence and meet national standards for law enforcement procedures. Leading the North Lauderdale District Office, and its 64 sworn deputies, is Chief David Holmes.
The district encompasses the City of North Lauderdale, the unincorporated areas east of State Road 7 on the south side of Commercial Boulevard, the Kozy Kampers RV Park and commercial properties near Commercial Boulevard and State Road 7.
