The
Finance Department is the city's largest support department
providing operational, administrative and financial assistance
to management, elected officials, and the citizens of North
Lauderdale. The department's primary mission relates to the
administration, control and reporting of city finances.
Within the Finance Department, there are three (3) divisions which are charged with the responsibility of attaining
the Department’s goals
Administration
The City's fiscal year runs from October 1 through September
30. This Division
is responsible for monitoring and developing financial
strategies that ensure fiscal solvency and financial
statement integrity by maintaining strong internal
controls.

Accounting
The
Accounting Division provides Accounting, Accounts Payable
and Receivable, Payroll, Budget, Grant Writing and Revenue
Collection functions. The Accounting Division has earned the Government
Finance Officers Association (GFOA)
Awards for both the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
(CAFR) and Budget documents
(24 and 3 times consecutively, respectively).

Utility Billing
The Utility Billing Division provides City cashiering services
and quality customer service to over 8,000 utility accounts
in the areas of Water, Sewer, Garbage, Recycling and
Stormwater.
Direct debit is now available for utility payments.
