Even the most brilliant public policy program in the world
will fail if the public doesn’t know how to take advantage
of it. That’s why North Lauderdale’s elected officials have
made communicating with residents such a priority.
The City reaches out to residents through print, TV and the
Internet. Every household and business in the City receives
an eight-page quarterly newsletter that invites their participation
in volunteer groups, explains City programs and invites their
input into the city’s democratic process.
The local access cable TV station, Comcast Channel 78, provides
information about the city’s processes such as where to pay
a water bill or how to rent a picnic shelter. Channel 78 also
covers the City’s community events such as Haunted Hamptons,
North Lauderdale Days and The Annual Eggstravaganza. |
