Vice Mayor Rich Moyle

Richard_Moyle_150Rich Moyle, a business owner/administrator for more than forty years, has been married to his wife for thirty years and has four children. Moyle has owned a home in North Lauderdale for more than 30 years. Vice Mayor Moyle served as a non-partisan councilman, Vice Mayor and Mayor to the City from 1990 through 1999 and as Commissioner. He also served as Vice Mayor and Mayor from 2002 through 2010. In 2016 Vice Mayor Moyle ran unopposed and is currently serving an additional four year term of office.

Vice Mayor Moyle currently serves as Chairman of the North Lauderdale Water Control District, Broward County’s Water Academy, and on the State Road 7 / U.S. 441 Corridor Collaborative. He has served on the Broward League of Cities Legislative Committee and co-chaired the League’s Homeless Committee. He is a former member of the North Lauderdale Academy High School Advisory Board, the Boys and Girls Club Unit Board of Directors, and as board member for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Broward County. Prior to becoming a part of the City Council, (later renamed the North Lauderdale City Commission) Vice Mayor Moyle served as a member of the City’s Civil Service Board.

As an elected official, Vice Mayor Moyle wants to continue being a visionary on the Commission for current and future residents regarding citizen safety, the aesthetics of our streets and neighborhoods, recreational possibilities, and the best quality of life in South Florida. He wants to ensure the proper and most efficient method of government with a focus on service to the community.
