Broward Sheriff’s Office
The Broward Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement services for the City of North Lauderdale, home to more than 43,000 residents. North Lauderdale is predominantly a residential community of 5.2 square miles and prides itself on its commitment to maintaining a beautiful, safe and fun city, reflected by its motto: A Fun City in the Heart of Broward.
BSO's North Lauderdale district has 65 employees to provide law enforcement services. Fifty eight of those are sworn law enforcement officers, which includes chief, executive lieutenant, patrol lieutenant, seven sergeants, patrol deputies, detectives and seven civilians. Some of BSO’s resources that residents can rely on include a helicopter, K-9, Dive Team, SWAT, Crime Scene Investigators, Forensics Unit and a complete testing laboratory.
